Event description Through the sessions, there will be a focus of how to embed high quality retrieval practise into
Geography lessons. Participants will identify how retrieval practise helps activate prior knowledge to
free up space within the working memory. We will delving deeper into what metacognition in
Geography looks like.
 
Training objectives ? To discuss how point in time assessment works in geography lessons
? To deepen our understanding of different type of retrieval practice in Geography and to
share practice with colleagues
? Identify the most effective forms of retrieval practice with your Geography curriculum
? Provide subject leaders with up-to-date information of what is happening nationally
